A Nottingham-based food manufacturing company are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join their team. As a Maintenance Team Leader you will work 4 On, 4 Off perm Night shifts, and manage a small team of engineers. The team provides engineering support to the production area and are responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems.

You will probably be on the tools for approx. 70/80% of the time with the remaining time spent organising and managing the team.

Role:

  • Salary of c£53k
  • Multi skilled with electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • 4 on 4 off Nights (12 hour shifts) 6.00pm to 6.00am
  • Opportunity to work in a modern manufacturer

Key responsibilities of Maintenance Team Leader:

  • Manage and assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
  • Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
  • Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
  • Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS
  • Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
  • Ensure all work competed by engineering team is documented in a daily shift report
  • Monitor, and approve time sheets for the team and perform general HR duties such as return to work interviews, investigations and individual 121 performance reviews.

Experience and skills required of Maintenance Team Leader:

  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
  • Apprenticeship trained (ideally electrical, but will consider mechanical bias)
  • Multi skilled, mechanical and electrical skills / experience
  • Proven team management experience, but will also consider those who have held ‘stand in' roles and looking to develop
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
  • Manufacturing / production experience required
