** 11.88 PER HOUR ** OFFICE OF THE PUBLIC GUARDIAN ** START DATE ASAP **

Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm, with potential for more flexibility after completing training.

The 4 roles are due to last for at least 12 months, with the potential to extend

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Office of the Public Guardian, OPG, and make a difference to their customers. This role is office based only.

Role Overview:

These roles are for the Billing Team, with the main duties of raising invoices for supervision services, taking payments and responding to customer queries raised via phone, email or post.

You will be protecting vulnerable customers, dealing with or signposting their queries to relevant departments, speaking with other departmental members within the OPG, so it is imperative that you have excellent English written and verbal communication skills. You must be a confident communicator, whilst remaining professional and empathetic.

The role involves but is not limited to the following:

* Raising invoices for supervision services and progressing exemptions
* Taking payments

* Working from spreadsheets
* Escalating customer queries and requests to other teams where appropriate
* Inputting and updating data accurately on the IT systems
* Responding to written correspondence received via post or email.
* Telephony work - responding to incoming calls and enquiries
* Collating, analysing and formatting data and information
* To act as a point of contact for the customer, dealing with correspondence in a professional and courteous manner.

* Travelling to the Birmingham office once every 4/6 weeks, travel expenses covered

Essential Skills:
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Experience of using Microsoft computer packages, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams
* Ability to make informed decisions based on evidence
* Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks

* Case management experience

* Excellent customer service and polite telephone manner

Desirable Skills:
* Debt management experience

The roles are subject to passing a clear standard DBS and a full 3 years referencing
