This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking insurance firm in Nottingham. Our client seeks to hire a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Claims Handler (Hybrid) in Nottingham


Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead and enhance our complex domestic and commercial property claims handling operations.
  • You will be personally handling high-value large loss claims, ensuring robust validation of policy coverage, claim circumstances, and quantum, including accurately setting and managing reserves.
  • Provide clients and customers with expert guidance on complex and technical claims issues whilst managing other stakeholders and supporting customers through claims process.
  • Assess and mitigate risk on high value and complex claims, ensuring effective policy validation, scope and cost control, while delivering fair outcomes for customers.
  • Liaise with insurers, brokers and other key stakeholders to deliver effective claims settlements in-line with policy coverage.
  • Coach, train, and mentor office-based claims handlers and field-based surveyors, enhancing their technical knowledge and claims handling capabilities.
  • Supervise and improve technical claims handling processes, ensuring that claims are managed effectively from start to finish.


The Requirements

  • Extensive Preferred: Dip CII or Dip CILA or beyond. (Not mandatory)
  • Experience in commercial and personal lines property claims handling, with a strong technical background in large loss and complex claims.
  • Previous/current loss adjusting or field-based claims handling experience is a plus.
  • The role involve traveling around the UK.
