Hays Education are looking for a School Science Technician to join a large Secondary School in Nottingham. The role is to start as soon as possible and is initially presented as a long-term temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Your new role
- Preparing and setting up laboratory equipment and materials ahead of science lessons
- Ensuring the safe and proper use of laboratory equipment and chemicals
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and promoting a safe learning environment
- Supporting students in their practical work and experiments
- Organising and maintaining the laboratories and prep rooms
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience of working in a school or educational environment is essential
- Knowledge and understanding of laboratory health & safety issues
- Knowledge and understanding of the three sciences
- Strong communication skills
- Effective organisational and time management skills
