Aqua-Techare working with aleading MEICA contractor specializing in delivering high-quality water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Our projects range from upgrades to treatment works to new build installations, and we pride ourselves on our technical expertise, innovation, and commitment to sustainability.

We are looking for an experienced Planner to join our dynamic team, playing a key role in planning and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop, manage, and update detailed project schedules using software tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with contract requirements.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather data, monitor progress, and identify dependencies and constraints.
  • Resource Allocation: Work closely with the team to ensure resources (labour, materials, and equipment) are allocated effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Critical Path Analysis: Identify critical path activities and provide solutions to mitigate delays, optimizing project delivery timelines.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, assess performance against the baseline program, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Analyze potential project risks and delays, proposing corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear updates on project progress, key milestones, and potential challenges to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure all planning activities adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and health & safety requirements.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Planner, preferably in MEICA or water infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of engineering, construction, and project management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with NEC or similar contract frameworks.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related field (desirable).
  • Knowledge of water industry standards and practices is a strong advantage.
