We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative Product Developer to join a fast-growing and ambitious team, leading the way in their industry. To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Experience in a product development role within the food industry
  • Strong knowledge of food, nutrition, and ingredient functionality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other relevant software
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience in an NPD role, either in branded or own-label products
  • A proven track record of successfully launching new products
  • Experience as a Junior Developer or Technologist looking for their next step

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Conducting market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitor insights to shape product development
  • Collaborating with third-party manufacturers to ensure top-tier innovation and quality
  • Working closely with marketing, procurement, and production teams to manage the product development process from concept to launch
  • Developing new product recipes, balancing ingredient functionality, cost, and nutritional guidelines
  • Overseeing product testing, including sensory evaluations, shelf-life assessments, and nutritional analysis
  • Creating and maintaining accurate product specifications, costings, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinating and documenting product trials, both internally and with external suppliers
  • Staying informed on industry advancements, sourcing new ingredients, and exploring emerging technologies
  • Addressing technical challenges during development to ensure seamless execution
  • Supporting post-launch production and follow-up reviews
  • Developing packaging and design briefs to enhance product appeal
  • Organising and attending photoshoots to showcase products
  • Providing creative input for social media and communication channels

Salary & Working Hours

Salary is £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependant on experience
