Experienced Quality Inspector required for a modern manufacturing site in Nottingham working on a Monday to Friday Day Shift.  

As a Quality Inspector you will join a small team and be responsible for performing random checks on production parts and completing FAIRS when required. Checks are performed to ensure manufactured products meet customer requirements for design specification, quality standards, dimensional accuracy, and appearance.

Details:

  • c£35k basic salary  
  • Monday to Friday  - approx. 7am – 4pm (some flex on start finish time)
  • Annual company Bonus Scheme
  • 25 Days Holidays plus bank holidays

Key responsibilities of Quality Inspector:

  • Conduct 1st part, and randomly selected final part inspections to ensure accuracy of manufacture and that traceability of documentation is complete
  • Conduct various quality tests to check conformance to specifications using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and other hand gauges
  • Complete FAIR`s on required parts
  • Maintain quality records as required by the Quality Management System

Skills Required of Quality Inspector:

  • 3+ years of previous inspection experience
  • Ideally hold AS9102 qualification / certification
  • AS9145 qualification advantageous
  • Experience in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experienced using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers
  • Experience of reading drawings for dimensions etc
