Monday - Thursday: Afternoon Shifts

PERMANENT ROLE

Our client in Nottingham is looking for a Quality Inspector to join them on a permanent basis on their permanent afternoon shifts Monday - Thursday (Friday is optional overtime). The client are CNC Machining specialists operating in a variety of industries including aerospace, foundry and mining equipment.

Job Description: Quality Inspector

Quality checking parts for aerospace and bearings

Identifying non-conforming components and processes

Operating manual and CNC CMM inspection equipment

Selecting the correct gauge type for the tolerance being checked

Completion of inspection reports and producing FAIR's when required

Using manual inspection equipment including micrometres, callipers and shadowgraphs

All precision work

Working to ISO 9001 standards

Working to precision tolerances

Reading and working from engineering drawings

Working with metals including titanium, bronze and aluminium

Completion of all relevant documentation

Skills and Qualifications Required: Quality Inspector

Skilled CMM operator

Able to run both manual and CNC CMM machines

Confident with NCR's and FAIRS

Understanding of geometric tolerances and general assemblies

Must be able to read and work from complex engineering drawings

Confident using measuring tools including micrometres, verniers, callipers and shadowgraphs

Confident working with metals including aluminium, bronze and titanium
