Trainee Machine Setter

Nottingham (NG8), Nottinghamshire

£11.74 per hour + Shift Pay (1.33x) + Overtime + Bonus + Training + 25 days leave

This role is working 37.5 hours per week - working 10 weeks out of 12 weeks on Days (Mon-Fri with an early finish on Friday) then 2 weeks out of 12 on Nights (Mon-Thurs)

The Role:

  • Setting and operating machines in a training capacity
  • Supporting the department in achieving high quality output of precision products
  • Assisting and supporting the machine setters
  • Full training and ongoing development
  • Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent role with overtime available


The Person:

  • Basic hands on / mechanical skill set
  • Willingness to learn and able to work within a team environment
  • Willing to work nights when required.
  • Any previous engineering experience would be advantageous (not essential)
  • Due to working hours a car/driving licence is preferred
