Linsco are currently looking for an experienced project manager that has extensive tier 1 main contractor experience or consultancy experience working on large commercial projects including hospitals/ universities.
Start date will be 2nd January 2025 or possibly before for the right candidate and the project will be long term work working across various projects within a 5 mile radius of Nottingham City.
You will help in managing on-site activities, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong organisational skills, a proactive attitude, and a basic understanding of residential construction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Establish milestones and critical paths.
- Allocate resources and forecast requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings to align expectations and resolve issues.
- Act as the main point of contact for project updates.
Cost Management
- Monitor project budgets and manage expenditures.
- Prepare cost estimates and approve financial adjustments.
- Ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address unforeseen challenges promptly to minimise impact.
Team Leadership
- Oversee the project team, including contractors and subcontractors.
- Delegate tasks and ensure roles are clearly defined.
- Motivate and manage performance to achieve goals.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain compliance.
- Address and document any safety violations.
Quality Control
- Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks and address defects.
- Review and approve work completed by contractors.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, costs, and changes.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
- Manage contracts, permits, and project documentation.
Project Handover and Closure
- Oversee final inspections and address punch lists.
- Ensure all deliverable are completed and signed off.
- Provide post-project support as needed.
