Linsco are currently looking for an experienced project manager that has extensive tier 1 main contractor experience or consultancy experience working on large commercial projects including hospitals/ universities.

Start date will be 2nd January 2025 or possibly before for the right candidate and the project will be long term work working across various projects within a 5 mile radius of Nottingham City.

You will help in managing on-site activities, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong organisational skills, a proactive attitude, and a basic understanding of residential construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling

    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Establish milestones and critical paths.
    • Allocate resources and forecast requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management

    • Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Facilitate meetings to align expectations and resolve issues.
    • Act as the main point of contact for project updates.
  • Cost Management

    • Monitor project budgets and manage expenditures.
    • Prepare cost estimates and approve financial adjustments.
    • Ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Risk Management

    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Address unforeseen challenges promptly to minimise impact.
  • Team Leadership

    • Oversee the project team, including contractors and subcontractors.
    • Delegate tasks and ensure roles are clearly defined.
    • Motivate and manage performance to achieve goals.
  • Compliance and Safety

    • Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain compliance.
    • Address and document any safety violations.
  • Quality Control

    • Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular quality checks and address defects.
    • Review and approve work completed by contractors.
  • Reporting and Documentation

    • Maintain detailed records of project progress, costs, and changes.
    • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
    • Manage contracts, permits, and project documentation.
  • Project Handover and Closure

    • Oversee final inspections and address punch lists.
    • Ensure all deliverable are completed and signed off.
    • Provide post-project support as needed.
