An experienced Buyer required to join an established manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire.Primary objectives are to negotiate contracts and execute defined strategies for the procurement of all raw materials, equipment, expense items and services.

Responsibilities:

  • To support the Purchasing Manager in pursuing business objectives
  • To implement and maintain appropriate monitoring procedures to validate supplier performance
  • To establish and long term supplier relationships
  • To identify and own purchasing pipeline projects which achieve savings in excess of annual targets. Ensuring that forecasted performance is continually updated
  • To ensure that Purchase orders are accurate to avoid invoice queries
  • To ensure that sufficient material is available in the supply chain via use of forecasts issued to suppliers

Key Skills

  • Minimum of professional membership level of CIPS.
  • Strong Team player
  • Good knowledge of all MS office applications, specifically excel to an advanced level.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Confident and well organised
  • Proactive and able to multitask.
  • Drive and determination to succeed.
  • Strong and confident communication and customer liaison skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills, methodical worker with high level attention to details.

Working Monday - Thursday 7.00- 16.00 & Fri 7.00-12.00Salary £30- £32kOnsite parking available
