Buyer

SF Recruitment are working with a Manufacturing business who are recruiting for a Buyer for their Nottingham site. This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary paying up to £35,000. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast paced Procurement and Supply Chain team in a business where employees are the heart of everything. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for the procurement of materials considering cost, quality and lead times. You will need to have excellent communication skills in order to manage supplier relationships.

Scope of role
• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Supplier relationship management, negotiations and cost down activities
• Identify and report sources of risks from supply chain.
• Support work on new supply strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and transparency.
• NCR Management

The Buyer
• Experienced within Purchasing/Procurement
• Ideally from a Manufacturing/Engineering background
• Planning and Organisation Skills
• Negotiations skills
• Excellent Communication and Relationships building skills
• Positive and flexible approach
• Competent with MRP/ERP systems (SAP Preferred)
