Purchasing Coordinator (Part-time, Hybrid)

£26,000 - £30,000 (Pro Rota) 

22.5 to 30 hours, 3/4 days a week. 

Are you an experienced procurement professional with strong analytical skills? This is a fantastic part-time, hybrid opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to support purchasing and product sales analysis within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Negotiation: Handle the purchasing and negotiation for products and services that the business requires.
  • Sales & Margin Analysis: Analyse product sales rates and margins, making data-driven decisions on setting sales prices.
  • Planogram Management: Regularly review and adjust product placements to optimise performance and increase margins in line with customer needs.
  • Supplier Management: Track and update product rebates, free stock offers, and manage supplier credit notes.
  • Purchase Order Management: Raise and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, ensuring efficient supplier communication.
  • Invoicing & Account Handling: Manage invoices using dedicated software, maintaining the accounts mailbox and filing systems.
  • Supplier Setup: Complete necessary paperwork to create new supplier accounts.
  • Data Presentation: Present detailed, data-backed recommendations at monthly management meetings.

Skills and Experience:

  • Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
  • IT Proficiency: High-level competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and bespoke systems for invoicing and procurement.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation and influencing skills to ensure the best supplier terms.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage tasks with precision and stay organised in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proactive Approach: Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and the ability to handle pressure.
