In a nutshell…We are currently recruiting for a Tendering Engineer to assist our client's senior team in producing proposals for projects across various business sectors. The ideal candidate will have exposure in control systems, M&E installations, or an engineering background. A proven track record of producing technical and commercial proposals for tenders is a must.

This role will involve creating detailed tenders, cost labour requirements, developing tender programmes, and working closely with the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality proposals.

What's involved for the Tendering Engineer…

  • Managing and developing standard costing and proposal templates.
  • Monitoring tender portals for opportunities and updating the CRM.
  • Chairing monthly sales meetings.
  • Producing tenders for minor projects, including cost compilation, programme development, and proposal creation.
  • Assisting directors with more complex tenders.
  • Maintaining the CRM system and producing monthly/annual sales reports.
  • Organising and filing sales documentation, handling client visits, and managing sales materials.

What you'll need…

  • Must have educational background within a relevant engineering discipline
  • At least 1 years of experience in a tendering role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to systems engineering including SCADA, PLS or HMI (Ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
