Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Approach Personnel are partnering with our long standing client to recruit a Graduate Quantity Surveyor. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the preconstruction team, working exclusively alongside high profile clients on their projects.

Duties

  • Assisting with all pre and post contract surveying services on a range of construction projects
  • Taking responsibility for successfully completing all allocated QS and PM tasks to a high degree of accuracy
  • Assisting with Employer’s Agent services on Design and Build and Development Agreement procured projects and assuming the principal EA role where possible
  • Following the company Quality Management System in the delivery of all services
  • Assisting on multiple projects simultaneously and developing excellent time management strategies
  • Treating all clients to exceptional level of service

About You

  • Full-time Degree (preferably RICS accredited) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management or a related field or at least 2 years completed of a similar related part-time degree, supported by 2 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in measurement, ideally using CostX Measurement Software
  • Good understanding of construction technology
  • Strategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality Driving licence and own car. Willingness to travel to sites across the UK as required
