Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing / Refurbishment

Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading Social Housing refurbishment Contractor based in the East Midlands who are now actively recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple refurbishment schemes. This company is a well-established well-known brand who are strong financially and have a reputation as a great employer.

About the Quantity Surveyor role

This is a great opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading providers of affordable homes with an innovative approach and are known for their delivery of high-quality regeneration projects. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working on refurbishment projects for either a main contractor or developer from inception to completion.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor role

  • Manage the financial aspects of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that projects meet their requirements.
  • Manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor role

  • Proven experience as an AQS / QS with a track record of working on successful projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience working within social housing on planned refurbishment projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • UK driving license.

What we offer for the Quantity Surveyor role

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 DOE - will pay more for exceptional candidates
