Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing / Refurbishment

Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading Social Housing refurbishment Contractor based in the East Midlands who are now actively recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple refurbishment schemes. This company is a well-established well-known brand who are strong financially and have a reputation as a great employer.

About the Quantity Surveyor role

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working on refurbishment projects for either a main contractor or developer from inception to completion.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor role

Manage the financial aspects of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that projects meet their requirements.
Manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor role

Proven experience as an AQS / QS with a track record of working on successful projects on time and within budget.
Experience working within social housing on planned refurbishment projects.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
UK driving license.

What we offer for the Quantity Surveyor role

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 DOE - will pay more for exceptional candidates
