This client are seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. In this role, you will handle tasks such as managing individual contractor accounts, generating regular reports and analysis, and offering commercial insights to drive financial efficiency.

This client are a well established housing association based in Nottinghamshire who are expanding across the Nottinghamshire area to ensure there is affordable housing available for everyone that needs it.

Description

A significant part of your role will involve budget management, including reviewing applications for payments and preparing weekly and monthly reports for both the Commercial Manager and Commercial Director.

You will also liaise closely with key stakeholders and contractors to ensure contracts meet their financial and performance targets effectively

Profile

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience in a quantity surveying or commercial environment, ideally with a background in planned works
  • Familiarity with social housing or housing maintenance, either from a client or contractor side
  • Knowledge of NHF and other bespoke, schedule-of-rate-based contracts
  • Strong skills in planning, budgeting, organisation, and prioritisation, along with solid business record-keeping
  • Proficiency in report writing, financial data interpretation, and a good command of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve organisational goals
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Eagerness to take on new responsibilities and develop skills to advance within the organisation
