We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a large housing association. This role involves managing contractor accounts, providing regular reports and analysis, and offering commercial insights to ensure financial efficiency.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage individual contractor accounts effectively.
  • Review applications for payments and create weekly and monthly reports for the Commercial Manager and Commercial Director as required.
  • Liaise directly with key stakeholders and contractors to ensure that contracts meet financial and performance targets.
  • Play a key role in budget management and financial oversight.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a planned works quantity surveying or commercial environment.
  • Experience in a social housing or housing maintenance environment (either client or contractor side).
  • Understanding of NHF and other bespoke schedule of rate-based contracts.
  • Excellent planning, budgeting, organising, and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong report writing skills and ability to interpret financial and other systems data.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build and sustain working relationships with different departments to achieve goals.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple activities and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities and a desire to develop new skills to progress within the organisation.
