Your new companyYou will be joining an established contractor based in Nottingham operating across the energy and utilities industries. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong pipeline of work and boasts an impressive list of high-profile clients. They have an excellent reputation in the civil engineering industry and offer excellent promotion prospects. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based in their Nottingham office with the option for flexible working.

Your new roleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all commercial aspects of assigned projects from pre-construction to final account
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and contractual obligations
  • Providing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  • Attending client meetings and liaising with stakeholders to ensure project alignment
  • Preparing and managing interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
  • Monitoring variations/change control and ensuring appropriate commercial recovery.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • Strong background in civil engineering, ideally in the energy or utilities industries
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of cost/value management
  • Full UK driving licence.
