Rent Operations Manager
We are looking for an experienced Rent Operations Manager to join our team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month period. This is a key leadership role within NCC Housing Services, responsible for overseeing the recovery of unpaid rents and ensuring efficient service delivery within the Income Team.
Working closely with the Head of Rents, You will help coordinate income recovery operations, lead a team, and drive effective rent collection and arrears management strategies.
- Contract Type: Temporary Initially 3 months+
- Pay rate: £23.17 per hour umbrella
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:50 pm, with flexible working)
- Worker Type: Hybrid - approx. 2 days per week in the office
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing rent collection and arrears recovery across NCC Housing Services.
- Supporting the Head of Rents in coordinating service delivery within the Income Team.
- Managing and leading a team to ensure high-quality performance and service.
- Handling complex cases in a fast-paced housing management or customer service environment.
- Ensuring compliance with Housing Benefits and Welfare Benefits regulations.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven management experience in rents and income management.
- Background in housing management or a customer-facing role, dealing with complex cases and competing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of Housing Benefits and Welfare Benefits.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve service goals.
Desirable Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 4/5 or a Chartered Institute of Housing qualification (or working towards one).
