If you are a recent graduate with the view to going into Accounting and Finance, then this role could be the perfect role for you! Hays are working with a Nottingham client who are recruiting an entry-level cashier into their finance team. This role provides plenty of opportunity for career progression and funded study support for qualifications such as AAT, CIMA, ACA.
Your new role

  • Posting cash daily
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Transfers at the bank (all banks)
  • Daily post to be actioned (cheque/remittances)
  • Daily Banking (taking cash/cheques to branch)
  • Tax Receipts
  • Reviewing and clearing the cashiers inboxes
  • Confirming alias acceptance for all payments received in different names
  • General ad hoc duties




What you'll need to succeed

  • Confident, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • An Accounting or similar degree
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and numeracy.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work under their own initiative.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Must be highly self-motivated, mature attitude and pro-active.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and drives positive change.
  • Team player with experience in delivering to deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Have good Excel and IT skills#
