Hays are working with a Nottingham client who are recruiting an entry-level cashier into their finance team. This role provides plenty of opportunity for career progression and funded study support for qualifications such as AAT, CIMA, ACA.
Your new role
- Posting cash daily
- Bank Reconciliations
- Transfers at the bank (all banks)
- Daily post to be actioned (cheque/remittances)
- Daily Banking (taking cash/cheques to branch)
- Tax Receipts
- Reviewing and clearing the cashiers inboxes
- Confirming alias acceptance for all payments received in different names
- General ad hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
- Confident, enthusiastic and flexible.
- An Accounting or similar degree
- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and numeracy.
- A self-starter with the ability to work under their own initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications.
- Must be highly self-motivated, mature attitude and pro-active.
- Takes ownership of responsibilities and drives positive change.
- Team player with experience in delivering to deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure, efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Have good Excel and IT skills#
