Position: Sports Business Development Manager

Salary: £40,000- £55,000

Location: Nottingham

Contract: Permanent

Bonuses: Pension, 25 days Holiday Allowance plus BH, WFH

Think Recruitment are currently looking for a Sports Business Development Manager to help my client to achieve growth and ambitions. You will pivotal in creating and implementing new Sports sales strategies to meet targets and focusing on building existing and new customer pipelines.

Duties will include:

  • To generate profitable new business in line with the overall Sports market strategy.
  • To develop opportunities to increase revenue generation with existing customers.
  • To ensure a planned approach to customer management, protecting existing revenue, relationship building and customer retention.
  • It is anticipated you will spend c.80% of your time on business development, generating new, profitable business.
  • It is expected you will spend c.20% of your time managing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and building strong relationships.
  • To sell the company's services and products to ensure the achievement of targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and overall business objectives.
  • To generate prospects, follow up leads, attend meetings, develop quotations, and convert quotes into new business.
  • To ensure that the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and any other systems utilised by the company are maintained with up-to-date information.
  • To work closely with business directors to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Input on reporting, forecasting, planning and market intelligence plus new business initiatives.
  • To provide market intelligence to the management team on competitor's activity and new business opportunities.
  • To work closely with the Marketing Team on developing marketing initiatives to generate new business.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5-year Electrical Lighting experience
  • Sports industry background knowledge
  • Business development: 3+ years (required)
  • Customer focused and commercially aware
  • Hungry and driven to succeed
  • Experienced targeting large businesses and organisations
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Full driving licence
