Are you an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk looking for a varied and rewarding role? We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to join our team, supporting the Management Accountant and Financial Controller in the day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Ledger & Credit Control: Chase outstanding payments, manage aged debt, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Income Processing: Administer and reconcile income streams, including cash, cheques, and card payments via iFinance, Wisepay, and Worldpay.
- Banking & Debt Management: Work closely with stakeholders to resolve bank and debt-related queries.
- Invoice Management: Raise, post, and allocate invoices while applying relevant discounts such as scholarships, bursaries, and staff discounts.
- Petty Cash & Expense Control: Support petty cash administration and expense processing.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly aged debt reports and manage bad debt escalation in collaboration with external agencies.
- General Finance Support: Assist in purchasing goods/services and provide cover for other finance team members as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
? Previous experience in a sales ledger or all-round finance role? Strong credit control and reconciliation skills? Proficiency in finance systems (iFinance, Wisepay, Worldpay experience desirable)? Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders? Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
