We are in search of a diligent Finance Assistant to provide efficient support within our Accounting & Finance department, based in North Nottingham. This role is initially a maternity cover, but could well become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Description
- Providing support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks
- Looking after accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank recs, payments, cash allocation, looking after direct debits
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed
- Coordination with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
- Review and reconciliation of financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
- Assisting the finance department in laying down the process and financial plans that aim to improve financial performance
- VAT returns
Profile
We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied role, and can commit to a full time office based role in North Nottingham.
