Job Summary:Hays are partnering up with a co-educational secondary school for 11-16 year olds, located in Nottinghamshire. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for our students by supervising classes during teacher's absences.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring they remain on task with pre-set work.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support various classes across different subjects, not necessarily as a subject specialist.
  • Assist with smaller intervention groups, SEN children, or coaching in schools.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on lesson conduct and student behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to support different aspects of school life.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
