SEMH Science Teacher

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH provision based in Nottingham. The school are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Science Teacher to join their vibrant and supportive team. The ideal candidate will be a committed professional who will help provide a nurturing environment for children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The role will focus on the planning and delivery of suitable science lessons for children from the ages of 7 - 13 who have social, emotional and mental health issues and will, therefore, help to create an inclusive, safe and welcoming environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience working with children with SEMH, or a strong passion to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs

  • Degree or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the individual needs of pupils

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning

  • The right to work in the UK
