We are seeking a SENCO who has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of SEN provisions, and the ability to inspire and support both staff and students. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and outside agencies, ensuring that the needs of students are met with tailored support strategies.
To be successful in this position, you will need to:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a SENCO qualification (or be working towards one).

Have prior experience in a SENCO role or within a secondary school setting.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of SEN law, provision, and best practices.

Be passionate about working with students with a range of learning needs and disabilities.

Show strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and support a team of teaching assistants.

Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for students with SEN.

Be an effective communicator, able to liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies.

Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for all students, ensuring safeguarding procedures are adhered to.

Essential Requirements:
All applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a SENCO qualification (or be working towards one).

Have a strong understanding of SEN, including experience supporting students with a variety of learning needs.

Demonstrate a positive approach to teaching, child development, and managing behaviour.
