Cherry Professional are looking for a Junior Design Engineer. You will ensure that product designs are feasible for efficient manufacturing, helping to reduce costs and enhance overall production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop equipment and tooling for new products and manufacturing processes.
- Support the development and improvement of existing tooling and manufacturing equipment.
- Produce drawings and technical data in support of product development
- Concept generation of assemblies, and tooling.
- Detailing engineering drawings.
- Creating engineering bills of materials.
- Engineering data entry to ERP system.
- Create documents for Technical Reports.
- Instruct and advise for training on your department where appropriate and when nominated as an in-house trainer and/or mentor.
- Attend/present at section and company meetings as required.
- Develop and build relationships with customers, suppliers or contractors.
- Suggest and assist with improvement recommendations for the department or Company.
- Report any hazards or near misses using iAuditor.
Ideal Candidate:
- Solidworks 3D experience required.
- AutoCAD 2D experience required.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to follow instructions and processes.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Drafting to the standard BS8888.
- Ability to produce clearly defined and accurate assemblies.
