Stores and Shop Floor Assistant

25,000 per annum

Full Time, Permanent

Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 1pm - Early Finish Friday!

Responsibilities:

  • Receive items (using a forklift truck when necessary) and book them onto the system.
  • Pick and kit out systems with items, keeping a detailed record of issued materials.
  • Book out additional stock to the shop floor and electronically manage the associated paperwork.
  • Pack spares orders and prepare system orders for transportation.
  • Conduct stock takes and counts.
  • Organise collections using courier services.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as raising paperwork from the system and assembling folders.
  • Support panel wirers with basic build activities.
  • Handle ad hoc responsibilities such as moving pallets and systems on the shop floor, segregating electrical waste (stripping parts), and maintaining the tidiness of the stores area and shop floor.

Key Skills:

  • IT literate
  • Hands-on approach
  • Manual handling capabilities
  • Basic administrative skills (filing, archiving, etc.)
  • Ability to follow basic build instructions
  • Soldering experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
