Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and educational support.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and social development.
  • Implement individual care plans and participate in regular reviews.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Engage in recreational activities and outings to enhance children's experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualification.
  • DBS on the update service
  • CSE training within 12 months and can provide certificate
  • Experience working with children in a residential or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
  • Resilience and the ability to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable.
