Shifts: 7:45am - 2:30pm / 2:00pm - 10:45pm, including sleep-in shifts on a rolling 3-week rota

The Role

You will be working within a secure children's home providing high-quality, specialist accommodation for young people aged 10-18. Many of the young people you will support have complex needs and require intensive support to help them make positive life changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a keyworker for young people, being a positive role model
  • Provide a safe, stable, and structured environment
  • Support and engage young people in educational, recreational, and social activities
  • Administer medication where required
  • Complete risk assessments, reports, and care planning documentation
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015

Who We Are Looking For:

A background in care is not essential but desirable. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well in a team and remain calm under pressure
  • A compassionate approach with the ability to build positive relationships
  • A flexible and enthusiastic "can-do" attitude
