Childrens Residential Managers (x2)

Salary: £45,000+ (negotiable based on experience)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, alternate weekends, plus on-call duties as required

Role Overview:

We are seeking two passionate and dedicated Childrens Residential Managers to join a family-run organisation in Nottingham. As a Children's Residential Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading a team to provide a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the registration process with Ofsted and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans that meet the needs of each child and promote their welfare.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated team of care professionals.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and supportive environment where children feel valued and empowered.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, including budgeting, resource management, and staff rotas.
  • Work in partnership with local authorities, social workers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all residents and that all staff follow safeguarding policies rigorously.
  • Ability to commute to Nottingham


What We Are Looking For:

  • Childrens Residential Manager EBD (Emotional Behaviour Difficulties)

Experience: A minimum of 2 years experiencespecifically in managing or working with children diagnosed with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.

Overview: The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the complexities associated with EBD, including trauma-informed care and effective behavior management strategies. You will be responsible for implementing individualised care plans that promote emotional well-being and address challenging behaviors, ensuring that children feel safe and supported. Experience in collaborating with educational and therapeutic professionals is essential to provide holistic care that supports the children's social, emotional, and educational needs.

  • Childrens Residential Manager LD (Learning Disabilities)

Experience: A minimum of 2 years experiencespecifically in managing or working with children with Learning Disabilities.

Overview: The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of developmental and learning challenges faced by children with learning disabilities. You will focus on creating personalised support plans that facilitate learning and development, promote independence, and enhance quality of life. This role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates each child's unique strengths while addressing their specific challenges. Experience in liaising with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance educational and therapeutic outcomes for these children is crucial.

  • Qualifications: Level 5 Diplomain Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
  • Regulatory Expertise: Proven success in managing within a regulatory framework, with experience leading a childrens home.
  • Ofsted Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ofsted regulationsand care standards.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Passion for Childcare: A commitment to the well-being and development of children and young people.
