Child Protection Social Worker

Pay Rate: 37 per hour

Vacancy for a social worker with experience of working in a long term child protection team, and experience of working in care proceedings.

The right candidate would be a social worker with experience that would be recognised as an expert and can apply advanced knowledge to their practice.

Preference that the worker has working knowledge or experience of using Liquid Logic and working with Signs of Safety and restorative practice.

Holds multi-faceted CP / complex CIC / Permanency cases including monitoring, coordinating and reviewing plans.

Experience of undertaking wide variety of assessments in and out of proceedings, including Parenting assessments, SGO, section 7 and section 37, completing permanence reports, sibling assessments.

Willing to use their advanced knowledge to contribute to service developments

Children and families are kept at the heart of all practice and guidance

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Social Work Degree
  • Significant experience in child protection work
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex cases
