We are looking for an Observability Engineer to join our UK Digital Technology team at E.ON. In this role, you will play a key role in promoting and exploiting our observability platform to deliver strategic solutions that meet stakeholder requirements and provide value and impact for the business.
- Roll out the E.ON UK observability platform, ensuring delivery of activities driven by a roadmap prioritized on business and strategic needs.
- Be an ambassador for the platform and promote its benefits to the business.Take a hands-on approach to creating, implementing, and delivering innovative observability capabilities.Maintain best practices and standards for implementing the platform, considering scalability, reliability, security, governance, and compliance.Contribute to technical discussions and requirements analysis to ensure value-driven implementation.Represent the UK Digital Technology team with E.on Group and other regional units.Engage with technology vendors and partners to explore joint ventures leveraging the latest technology.Work within a flat hierarchy where your voice will always be heard.Build your skills and knowledge of the industry, the business, and the technology it uses.
- Enable and deploy observability across AWS and Azure-based cloud components.
- Convert observability requirements into technical/functional architecture to implement observability across AWS and Azure-based cloud components.
- Leverage the Observability platform to create dashboards and configure alerts as needed.
- Participate in planning cycles to align business priorities with programs of work.
- Create a personal development plan supported by coaching, mentorship, training, and conferences.
What we need from you
- Educated to Degree Level or similar experience.
- 2 years' experience in an Observability or Application Performance Management role.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Product, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Experience working in an international environment.
