Senior Software Engineer - (Python, Linux, Debian, ubuntu, Red Hat, Bash, Software Architecture, Programming, Scripting, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker, Microservices) - Permanent - Nottingham/Hybrid
Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious business based in the Nottingham area.
Location: Nottingham/Hybrid (2 days in the office per week)
Salary: Up to £65,000 Per Annum D.O.E
Skills/Requirements for the Senior Software Engineer:
- Previous experience within a similar role is vital
- Extensive Python programming skills
- Strong Linux experience, any vendor product will be ok such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian etc
- Good hands on scripting within Bash
- Experience of working within Software Architecture and Microservices
- Docker and/or Kubernetes experience
- Some exposure to Terraform and Ansible would be highly desirable
Start date is ASAP for the Senior Software Engineer
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership in the team when needed, mentoring etc
- Creating documentation and training materials confirming to relevant company procedures
- Undertaking functional testing and validation of already developed code, documentation and training materials
- Leading investigations into product use scenarios
- Understanding customer requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Producing designs and specifications to meet customer requirements.
- Identifying and participate in research activities to assist in advancing department ways of working.
- Provide third line post-sales support.
