Manual Software Test Analyst Role Overview:
- Our client is looking for a Manual Software Test Analyst to support their Test & Development teams.
- In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring their software products meet high-quality standards through the creation, preparation, and execution of test plans and scripts.
- This is a fantastic chance to develop your testing skills while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
- Due to the nature of their clients work you will be required to undertake Security Clearance Vetting.
The Manual Software Test Analyst's Key Responsibilities:
- Review Business Requirements and Functional Specifications to define test scenarios, requirements, and conditions.
- Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, and other essential test documentation.
- Perform functional and regression testing to ensure the software meets business needs and user requirements.
- Analyse test results, identify defects or errors, and communicate issues to stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance automation scripts to improve the testing process.
- Actively participate in meetings, collaborating across teams throughout the software development life-cycle.
- Conduct installation, upgrade, and system configuration testing.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes and methodologies.
What You Bring to the Manual Software Test Analyst Role:
- A good understanding of the software development life-cycle and the role of testing.
- Knowledge of QA best practices and experience with various software development methodologies.
- Strong PC skills, with experience using Windows and MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ideally, an ISTQB/ISEB foundation certificate or experience with automated and performance-based testing.
Please note due to the nature of the work being undertake you will be required to undertake Security Clearance vetting.
