Principal QA Test Automation Engineer (C# AWS) Nottingham / WFH to £80k

Are you a senior QA Test Engineer with experience of testing modern cloud based software at scale?

You could be progressing your career in an impactful role at a tech company that provides a range of software solutions to energy suppliers from small start-ups through to major household names, covering everything from connecting to the grid through to CRM systems.

As a Principal QA Test Automation Engineer you will oversee the testing activities across six Agile Squads within the Tribe responsible for connectivity and compliance for smart meter technology, the systems deal with huge amounts of data (reading sent every 30 minutes from millions of household devices). You'll provide subject matter expertise and test strategy, working with Test Leads for each Squad to ensure alignment and drive collaboration between the teams (although you won't have people management responsibilities).

WFH Policy:

There's a remote interview and onboarding process and you'll be able to work from most of the time, meeting up with the team for constructive meetings once a month in the Nottingham office.

About you:

  • You have a wealth of QA testing experience, with experience of testing large scale, data centric systems
  • You have a strong knowledge of testing best practices and Test Automation
  • Ideally you will have coding skills with C# (or other OO programming language)
  • You have experience of testing APIs
  • You have experience within an AWS cloud based environment
  • You have experience of working in an Agile team environment, collaborating with software engineers
  • You have great communication skills
  • You're likely to be degree educated in a relevant STEM discipline although it's not essential if you have the right experience
