About The School:

The school is located a short walk from Mansfield bus station and is currently graded 'Good' by OFSTED. The school has recently joined a successful multi academy trust and is looking to grow its support team within school.



The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Autism, ensuring they receive the personalised assistance they need to succeed academically and socially.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with EAL and autism in a 1:1 setting.
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure the child's integration within the classroom environment.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support learning goals.
  • Monitor and record progress, reporting to teachers and SEN coordinators.
  • Foster a nurturing and positive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support.


About You:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with EAL and autism is essential.
  • Qualifications: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
  • Attributes: Empathetic, reliable, and proactive with a strong commitment to inclusion and equality.
