Hays is working with an Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Nottingham to find a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:3 with a group of pupils presenting with challenging behaviour. We are looking for a teaching assistant with experience supporting SEN pupils to take on this long-term role to start as soon as possible. Your new role

In your new job as a Teaching Assistant with Hays, you'll work 1:3 with a group of pupils with autism and ADHD diagnoses who present with challenging behaviour and pathological demand avoidance (PDA). You'll support this small group to continue to access mainstream education alongside their peers in the classroom. You'll be supported by a caring SLT who are passionate about creating an enjoyable working environment. You will also benefit from the support of your dedicated Recruitment Consultant, Hollie, who will be on-hand throughout your placement and beyond.

What you need to succeed

To be successful in your new job, you'll have excellent behaviour management skills and experience working on a small-group basis with SEND pupils in a mainstream setting. Ideally, you'll have an understanding of EHCP's and experience working in a mainstream primary setting. Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school ready to build relationships quickly!
