I'm on the search for a caring, friendly and nurturing teaching assistant, to support children across reception & nursery classes. The schools in a 'OFSTED' Good rated primary School based in NG17. The role is offered on along term with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.

The Role:

  • Supporting the class teacher with the teaching and learning in the classroom
  • Supporting children with SEN (Speech & Language delay, ASD)
  • Ensuring all children and provided with a safe environment to learn in
  • Assisting with eating and helping to provide a sense of Independence
  • Leading phonics sessions with the children who are ready for this
  • Liaising with parents at the end of each day
  • Supporting pupils who may present with additional needs.

Who we are looking for:

  • Hold Cache/NVQ Level 2 or 3 childcare, qualification or equivalent
  • Must have experience working within an Early years setting
  • Have a genuine passion for teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be an inspirational member of the support team who demonstrates outstanding classroom practice and keeps children at the heart of learning.
