Empowering Learning are looking for a graduate teaching assistant to work within one of our partnered primary schools in the central Nottingham area. The role will be full time and hours of work will be 08:30-16:00

The main duties within this role will be:

  • Working closely across KS1 and KS2 with pupils who require additonal support
  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis with autism and challenging behaviour
  • Liaising with senior management and the school SENCO around progress
  • Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
  • Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Has spent time working in schools (placement or paid work is fine)
  • Possesses good knowledge of the primary school curriculum
  • Is willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
  • Has good communication skills to liaise with staff and the pupils
  • Can act as a positive role model for the children
