The Role

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support to pupils in a primary school environment. This role will involve a combination of working one-to-one with children with Special Educational Needs and supporting groups within mainstream classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with mixed SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Encourage positive social interactions and emotional wellbeing among pupils.

  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Support small group interventions to reinforce learning objectives.

Requirements:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

  • Experience working within primary school settings, particularly with SEN pupils.

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to education.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
