SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD Support) - Nottingham - NG5

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school near NG5. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, creative, and committed to making a positive impact on a child's educational journey.

The Role:
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 support)
  • Location: NG5, Nottinghm
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to a pupil with ASD in the classroom and during school activities.

  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Use strategies to manage behaviour positively and effectively.

  • Assist with sensory and emotional regulation when required.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.

  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
