We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to support students across different year groups. This role Is 4 days per week and includes providing assistance in Year 4 to Year 6 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and supporting Year 1 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on Thursdays and Fridays.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Year 4 - Year 6: Supporting students in maths, English, and other core subjects, both in small group and 1:1 settings. Helping students who may need additional support with their learning, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and assisting with classroom management.
  • Year 1 SEN: Providing individualised support to students with SEN, focusing on developing their social, emotional, and academic skills. Assisting with behaviour management, implementing individual education plans (IEPs), and working closely with the class teacher to ensure tailored interventions are in place.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to track students' progress and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a Teaching Assistant role, particularly supporting students in KS1 and KS2.
  • A good understanding of SEN and strategies for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A flexible and patient approach to supporting students' needs.
