A welcoming school in NG4 is seeking two dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their Enhanced Provision, providing 1:1 support to pupils with ASD. The mainstream school are looking to move quickly and appoint both roles for January 2025 starts.

About the Role

Work 1:1 with pupils, tailoring support to their individual needs.
Encourage participation in learning activities and help develop social and communication skills.
Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to implement effective strategies.
Foster a nurturing environment, helping each child to thrive academically and emotionally.
Ensure the classroom remains a positive, inclusive space for all pupils.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience working with children with ASD or in a similar SEND setting.
Strong understanding of strategies to support children with ASD, including sensory and communication needs.
Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the needs of individual pupils.
Proactive and collaborative mindset, with excellent communication skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
