Your new companyHays Education are working closely with a special school on the Nottinghamshire Derbyshire boarder who provide support to those with profound and multiple disabilities (PMLD) as well as those with severe learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder. The school runs from nursery to year 14 and offers specialist therapy, core curriculum, personalised curriculum and semi-formal and pre-formal curriculum.

Your new roleThe school are looking for a number of additional passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistants to join their dedicated team of staff across the school. They are keen to receive applications from teaching assistants across the board with a variety of experience within SEND and mainstream from EYFS through to KS5. Depending on your experience and expertise, you will be placed within the areas you are most comfortable in. The role will initially begin on a temporary basis, however for the right candidates, also has the potential to turn into a permanent position.What you'll need to succeedYou will be an experienced teaching assistant with experience working with SEND children and young people who have EHCP's either in a mainstream or specialist environment. You will have a positive behaviour approach, and be able to use a variety of effective strategies to engage and inspire each student and their unique potential.
