EYFS Class Teacher

General Responsibilities:Classroom Management:

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.
  • Organise and maintain classroom resources, displays, and learning materials.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive behaviour and address any challenges.

Curriculum and Planning:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular activities and projects.

Assessment and Progress Tracking:

  • Regularly assess children's progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to inform teaching and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

Parental Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Conduct parent-teacher meetings, open days, and workshops.
  • Share information about children's development and progress.

Safeguarding and Welfare:

  • Be vigilant about child protection and follow school policies.
  • Report any concerns promptly to the designated safeguarding lead.
  • Promote health and well-being within the classroom.

Professional Development:

  • Attend relevant training sessions and stay informed about educational trends.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
