Randstad Tuition Services are currently recruiting for experienced SEN/SEMH Secondary Tutors who are experienced in planning and delivering education for young people in Nottingham

This SEN/SEMHprimary tutor role will be a great fit for someone who is a qualified teacher (QTS), confident teaching KS3 and KS4 English and Maths, and are looking for flexible work.

The location of this role is based in Nottingham, but more specifically will be based on a pre - agreed location (either at their local home, school or community venue).

The SEN/SEMH Secondary Tutor role involves:

  • Personalized Academic Support: Assess each student's academic level, strengths, and areas for improvement to develop individualized learning plans that align with their educational needs.
  • Subject Tutoring: Offer support in core subjects, such as English, Maths, and Science, while adapting your teaching methods to suit each student's specific SEN/SEMH needs.
  • Behavioral Management: Implement strategies to manage behavior issues, helping students develop coping skills and positive behavior patterns within the learning environment.
  • Emotional Regulation: Use techniques to help students identify and manage their emotions, fostering a calm and supportive environment to aid focus and reduce anxiety.
  • Positive Reinforcement: Build students' confidence and self-esteem through encouragement, recognizing small achievements, and celebrating progress.

What we are looking for in a SEN/SEMH Secondary Tutor:

  • SEMH and/ or SEN experience.
  • Experience working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must be able to deliver face to face support.
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging core academic sessions, tailored to the pupil's learning level.
  • Assessing and track the pupils progress to achieve their desired learning outcomes and provide feedback.
  • DBS on the Update Service is desirable but not necessary
  • Driving License is desirable but not necessary

Pay Rate: Starting from £25 per hour, can increase depending on the nature of the role.
