About the role
Connex Education are currently working with a cluster of SEN schools based across Nottingham and Mansfield to support with their long term supply requirements. There are a several opportunities to work Mon to Fri, teaching children and young people who have complex needs and learning difficulties between the age 5-19.

Assignment details
The schools provide an inclusive, holistic learning environment for vulnerable children who cannot attend mainstream school. The students may have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties or Profound Multiple learning disabiltiies, with complex associated behaviours. There is a key focus of increasing opportunities for those that may have had a turbulent education journey that may require an individualised approach to education intervention.
As a successful SEND Teacher, you will start promplty in September and will work full time to cater for the needs of the students in a small group teaching setting. You will be confident in planning creative lessons and able to adapt to different behaviour and learning needs. This contract has the potential to extend to the rest of the academic year for the right candidate.
Qualified Teacher status is a requirement, however if you you have experience leading a classroom and have relevant experience as an unqualified teacher, please still put your application forward for consideration

Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the update service or willingness to apply for one
- Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs either in a School or a similar setting
- Be confident in working with challenging behaviour
