Head Coach - The Blaze
The Blaze are recruiting a new Head Coach to take the lead on developing our professional cricketers as we enter a new strategic cycle for the womens game. It is an incredibly exciting time to come and work at Trent Bridge; following the completion of project Darwin and looking ahead to the 2025-2029 strategy for womens cricket, there are significant growth opportunities that we intend to be at the forefront of in Nottinghamshire.
As Head Coach you will be responsible for the day to day running of our professional cricket programme and work towards agreed objectives that measure our success. We require someone who is driven by success, inspirational, knowledgeable and puts people at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will care about the development of the womens game and people within it.
The role does require extended hours and regular travel throughout the UK during the womens domestic season (April-September) which will include weekends and Bank Holidays. The post holder will be based at Trent Bridge Nottingham, NG2 6AG. The Club undertakes an annual overseas pre-season tour in March.
Head Coach - Essential Criteria

- An ambitious, creative and inspiring leader who puts player and personal development at the heart of their work
- An ECB L4 coaching qualification (or international equivalent) is desirable with a minimum of ECB Level 3 required along with the capability of moving to L4 inside two years Disclosure baring service (DBS) and safeguarding certificate
- A full driving licence, due to the likely travel that will be needed
- A right to work in the UK or the ability to very clearly articulate the ability to relocate to Nottingham
- Evidence of a leadership role(s) in a high-performance cricket environment where you shaped strategic plans with ambitious targets with success
- An understanding of the professional womens game and the performance standards required of female cricketers
- An understanding of Sport Science & Medicine, including womens health and well-being
- Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team, a relationship builder with both players and staff
- The highest levels of personal standards for yourself and those around you Computer literacy including use of high-performance systems
- Excellent inter personal, planning and communication skills
